Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menggambarkan bentuk strategi nafkah berkelanjutan pada komunitas pemulung. Mengetahui bentuk modal sosial yang dimiliki oleh komunitas pemulung. Mengetahui konstribusi modal sosial dalam peningkatan kesejahtraan ekonomi pemulung. Metode pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ditentukan secara purposive, yaitu menentukan informan yang dianggap tepat. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa strategi nafkah berkelanjutan yang dilakukan oleh pemulung adalah strategi nafkah difersifikasi atau biasa disebut sebagai startegi nafkah ganda. Bentuk-bentuk modal sosial yang dimiliki oleh komunitas pemulung di TPA Antang Kota Makassar membentuk jaringan, rasa kepercayaan, norma sosial, nilai-nilai, dan solidaritas antar pemulung yang ada di TPA. Kontribusi modal sosial dalam peningkatan kesejahtraan ekonomi pemulung menumbuhkan rasa percaya, mempermudah pemulung mendapatkan pekerjaan karena adanya trust yang terbangun dari pemulung.

Social Work is a practice-based profession in which trained professionals are devoted to helping vulnerable people and promote for social changes. Learning disabilities are in which condition in the brain that causes difficulties in receiving and processing information and they can be caused by many factors. In children, learning disabilities can be caused by various factors like genetics, parental risks, psychological trauma, various and factors in a child’s environment and this may be caused by some physical trauma too. Social workers deal with these disorders with their professional skill and technical skills. In India 1.69% of children are having learning disabilities, hence dealing with this disorder and coming up with a solution is significant. The objective of the study is to explore the Competencies of social workers in dealing with children having learning disabilities the data was gathered in shivamogga city with convincing and purposeful sampling with ‘The academic stress scale’ by Dr. Poorva Jain & Mrs. Neelan Dikshit. The findings show that the majority of the school-goings were having learning disabilities but teachers failed in identifying problems hence Social Work professionals have a significant role in schools. emphasizing their unique capacity to bridge the gap and provide specialized support to children with learning disabilities. Implications of the study highlight the need for enhanced teacher training, collaboration with social work experts, and tailored interventions to better serve students with learning disabilities, fostering a more inclusive and supportive educational environments.

The issue of mental health has been increasingly prominent as various life pressures become more problematic. Character education can play an important role in improving mental health. By promoting positive values, attitudes, and behaviors, character education can help individuals develop the skills and resilience needed to cope with stress, overcome difficulties, and maintain good mental health. The character education that is the focus of this research is based on the tradition and values of religious teachings, namely the Buddhist tradition of chanting sutta and paritta. Through a descriptive study, this paper discusses the meaning of Buddhist chanting in character education, how chanting in the Buddhist tradition, especially Theravada, can play a role in character education. The meaning of this tradition is found in the implementation, methods, and obstacles encountered in the practice of reading sutta and paritta to embody Buddhist character.

Permasalahan lansia khususnya terkait kesejahteraannya semakin penting untuk diperhatikan karena persentase lansia semakin meningkat baik di Dunia maupun di Indonesia. Kerawanan pangan lansia adalah salah satu permasalahan yang sulit diatasi karena penyebabnya berbeda dari populasi pada umumnya. Berbagai bentuk kebijakan yang dilakukan pemerintah untuk mensukseskan active aging agar lansia tetap aktif dan produktif di usia tua pada kenyataannya belum memberikan perubahan yang permanen bagi kesejahteraan lansia. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan analisis fenomenologi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa.perlu persiapan yang matang dalam perancanaan setiap program hingga perlunya evaluasi kesiapan para lansia dalam penerima program-program yang dilakukan pemerintah. Diharapkan kepada pemerintah untuk memperhatikan indeks disabilitas yaitu ADL dasar dan IADL dalam memilih lansia yang layak untuk menerima bantuan modal usaha. Sehingga lansia yang sudah tidak dapat produktif diberikan kebijakan berbeda sehingga implementasinya lebih tepat sasaran dan lebih efektif dari segi anggaran.

This study aims to explore the roles of family in strengthening children's religious characters, particularly in Islamic perspective. A qualitative approach with descriptive analysis was used as the main methodology. The research was conducted by interviewing ten families of the students at Daarul Qur'an Boarding School, Tangerang, Indonesia. The results showed that family has a significant role in children's characters. The findings of this study revealed several factors stated by the parents, including their inability to guide, time constraints, and socio-economic status. The development or strengthening of the character of students in school will work well if the family or parents can play an active role in support. The end result desired through the active role of the family in character education for children, as expressed by the Ministry of National Education, is to become a human being who is faithful, pious, noble, tough, independent, creative, innovative, work ethic, loyal friends, and care about the environment can be accomplished well. Based on the interview sessions, all parents in this study agreed that they should have an active role in their family. In this case, parents have a very important role in the development and fostering of good character in their children. Among the roles of the family as expressed by the parents are as an educational institution for children, a source of love, motivation, and role models. Consequently, this study implies that the role of family in strengthening children’s characters should be in line with Islamic teaching as shown by the Prophet SAW through his good characters ( akhlaq al-karimah ).
